Oaxaca Interests Strengthens Executive Leadership Team
Dallas-based developer appoints Ryan Monteiro to Chief Operating Officer; Tisha Vaidya to Director of Acquisitions
Oaxaca Interests, a Dallas-based investment, development and asset management company, has expanded its executive team in an effort to strategically grow its urban land and retail portfolio. The company has appointed Ryan Monteiro to the role of Chief Operating Officer and Tisha Vaidya to the position of Director of Acquisitions.
“Ryan and Tisha bring impressive financial and client management experience with a proven track record of handling a variety of real estate models, including hotels, office space and retail,” said Brent Jackson, President of Oaxaca Interests. “Between the success of our land acquisitions, continuing expansion of our flagship development Sylvan | Thirty and Oaxaca’s new acquisitions/development projects that are in the pipeline, acquiring Ryan and Tisha’s expertise comes at the perfect time.”
As COO, Monteiro will oversee financial operations, organizing investor and financial reporting and supervising accounting. Prior to joining Oaxaca Interests, Monteiro consulted for multiple Fortune 500 companies while working at PricewaterhouseCoopers, including creating and carrying out financial reporting and treasury procedures for a $2 billion multinational aviation company.
Monteiro attended The University of Texas at Austin where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration, a Master of Professional Accounting and a Master of Business Administration while becoming a licensed certified public accountant (CPA).
As Director of Acquisitions, Vaidya is responsible for identifying, underwriting and transacting on investment opportunities for Oaxaca Interests. She also oversees asset management, fundraising and investor relations. She launched her career at Starwood Capital focusing on multifamily and hospitality and then joined Vornado Realty Trust’s Acquisitions & Capital Markets group where she focused on office and retail acquisitions in New York City, Washington D.C. and San Francisco. Vaidya then joined her family’s business in loose diamonds and gemstones where she launched a luxury retail brand, developed an innovative e-commerce website and overhauled the manufacturing and distribution process.
Vaidya received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University and went on to earn her Master of Business Administration at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
